Learning [swift] as a complete beginner?

hey guys im planning on learning swift for mobile development but as im a complete beginner i was wondering if there was a language that would be recommended to learn before? also if there were any resources recommended for learning swift?

Swift is its own language.. but if you want something else, c++ can't hurt.

I would suggest snagging a recent, well reviewed, well commented on, book off amazon.

I believe you can learn Swift even if you don't have any programming experience. So just start coding in Swift today. As a resource, I'd suggest you Udemy. Get there and search Swift courses. There are some paid and free courses for Swift and both of them are awesome and really detailed courses! I've finished %62 of this course Swift course and I'm sure that I'm learning Swift through these videos. Hope I helped!

There is a complete Stanford iOS 8 Course available on iTunes for free, this course includes assignments which i find really fund and helpful.
Developing iOS 8 Apps with Swift
There is also a free book available on iBooks.
The Swift Programming Language

I think you should be fine with starting to learn Swift and then slowly move to learning Objective-C as well. There is a followup book by Apple explaining that as well which is also free on iBooks.
