Chrome bookmarks

Posted 15 December 2015 - 08:27 PM

I finally made the switch from Firefox to Chrome and have set up all my bookmarks in my bookmarks bar but when I click on a bookmark, it opens not in a new tab, but in the current window. Is there anyway to make it open into a new tab? Very annoying having to right click the bookmark and click "open in new tab"

Thanks.

Like the other browsers, control+left click.. or just middle mouse click.

There's a way to permanently modify it too so that it opens in a new tab every time. Have to edit the address of the bookmark link to include the following:

javascript:window.open('put url here with http:// included');

Example:

Kind of a pain to do for each one, but it'll always open in a new tab afterward with just a single click. There are also addons for Chrome that make this a global change for all bookmarks.
