Thanks for the site information I will definitely Check it out I will try adding the filteron as you suggest and see what I can get to work I will let you know later today as I have meetings this am

ok just got a chance to test this out and it works here is the working code as it is

Me.frmRevSub.Form.Filter = "[FAMILY]= " & Chr(34) & Me.cmbFamily.Text & Chr(34)
Me.frmRevSub.Form.FilterOn = True
