Today I learned that after 2 years of meetings with the Navy, a deal that will eventually see my application loaded on every ship in the fleet looks like it's going to actually happen. And I think we also cornered every government department in the state. But then I went to the bathroom to pee and had some sort of blockage, so one stream shot out past the toilet and the other hit my foot. That's kind of a 2-steps-forward-1-step-back kind of day.

Today i have implemented a validation class for my backend to validate input from the user while registering for my new web app. Also i have been looking at password encryption and i have implemented a class that hashes passwords using Javas own functions (PBKDF2WithHmacSHA1) but im considering to switch it up and use BCrypt instead.

We learned late Tuesday that we had to add a page to the legacy site ASAP. Today we finished the page and the PO loves the design of the page. We've got free reign to do something similar with the live site over the next few sprints because every stakeholder says the existing site looks "amateuristic". The team is really excited to show off what we can do.

So I have developed this nasty habit of writing large amounts of code, mostly relaying on the type checker to do "testing" for me. Now I have to go test it all. This is a pain because it means testing hundreds of lines of code. It all type checks and each line should be close to correct but history tells me that every other line will have a bug in it.

Today I finally figured out my assignment for SQL. Now I gotta do this same shit for the ADO.NET and LINQ, so I have three things to worry about before the weekend hits.

I'm the only one in the office so far this morning. I spent some time wandering the halls, singing loudly while there was no one around to hear it.

Just went off on the shite dev for a good solid 5 minutes. He's been very quiet and I can see by the automated emails that he's finally doing what he's supposed to be doing (what I yelled at him for). Felt bitchy, but at least it's getting done.

Nursing an injured foot while attempting to concentrate on moving code into bitbucket. I'm hoping to have my entire codebase moved by the end of next weak which will make me very happy. The only downside is that I'll still have to use the old source control for deployments for the time being. At least now I can do proper merging and branching.

Seems like it was yesterday, when it was Monday.

Giving shit to someone else to get the job done does not make one a Bitchy person.

Well, technically it probably does, but it's still worth doing.
