Publish iOS apps for personal use only?

Posted 20 June 2016 - 06:56 AM

Hi

I know it's not possible to publish apps for iPhone without putting them in the official store and getting them verified.
However, for personal use, ain't it possible to create an app and to put it on my own iPhone only, via my laptop? No store-downloading stuff.

I'm talking about a non-jailbroken one.

Isn't this possible at all? Or can it be done?

Thanks!

I would imagine it would follow similar steps to testing an app before market.. except you don't push it to market.

Yes, if you add your device to xcode, and run your app on your iPhone, it is saved there, and will stay there as long as you don't delete it.

Unfortunately no, you can't use any distribution method without an active developer account - you're limited to the emulator.
