The Sims remade for a TI-83 calculator

Posted 08 September 2016 - 03:10 PM

Ah 7th grade. I found out you could program a calculator. So of course I remade the Sims. I called it Stan, and it was about a guy named Stan. You could eat (by buying a fridge), sleep (by buying a bed), and work. You made money, didn't die, and that was it. It was full of GOTO, and variables named a through zzq. A text based spaghetti coded nightmare of awesomeness, until I got suspended for, and I quote my vice principal, "inciting a school wide disturbance".

Found this gem when I was cleaning the garage :))

That was always the funny thing taking test in college. They would remove the battery cover to ensure paper notes weren't in there, but completely oblivious that I could code the calculator. Ah, non nerd proctors....

I made a program like this but more based on an RPG, this was ages ago before I learnt Procedures and functions so it was all in my Sub Main(), honestly it was a lot of fun to make and I learnt a lot from it.
