access database select statement

i have two tables table1 & table2 which is inner join table1
i want to select all the records from table1 and and how many records from tabl2 that belong to the record from table1

like if table1 first row contain storehouse1 and table2 contain many items for storehouse1 i want to get how many items belong to storehouse1

I would make a subquery of table2 with the id and count - grouped by the id.. then use that in a join with table1 on the id.
