You mean a textarea? Where large amounts of user entered text goes?

No, I mean like you can press the B button and it makes an area bold, and you can put 'code' in etc. And then it turns it into html that the webpage can read.

The area is called a 'textbox'. The editors are typically called "WYSIWYG editors".. and the server webpage has a translation plugin from those text markers to valid html/css
