how can i display the result of an SQL 2016 query graphically

Posted 09 January 2017 - 03:31 PM

Hello everyone,
I want to interrogate a database which contains a series of golf scores I can get a query which will have the result
say :

Hole_id = 1, score = 4.
Hole_id = 2, score = 5.
Hole_id = 3, score = 3.

and so on,

I want to display these results in a nice graph in a window form
I'm sure this is doable, however I can't get a start on this.
I'd be grateful if someone could provide a brief summary of how to do this

thanks in advance

I'm thinking about 18 points along an x axis, and the corresponding hole score would be on the y axis.
These may be a series of points, or perhaps a bar chart.
As the data changes , then the graph would update as well,

I'm just floating ideas at the moment, and want to find out if the best way of approaching this

A line graph, with a line for each player would be interesting to see. The query is the easy part, have you an idea for the rest?
