Installing game on Linux Mint

Posted 27 January 2017 - 09:12 AM

Hello,

I just downloaded Champions of Regnum and installed it on my Linux mint 17.3 system.
I installed it successful but the desktop icon that should start the game does not work.

I have no idea why it does not work, and I hope someone here nows how to make it work.

Thanks

Maarten

I installed it on his own. I used the 32-bit Linux installer downloaded here https://www.champion...x.php?l=1&sec=6

Do you have the appropriate ports open in your firewall (both in-bound and out-bound ports)?

Sounds to me like the game is unable to communicate with the server.

Clicking on an icon will tell you very little: as you've seen.

Right click on the icon and look at the properties. See what command it's running.

Now, run that command from a terminal. Running it like this should be the same as using the icon, but the terminal will usually show all kinds of feedback about the execution of the program. Such feedback should give you more information as to why it's not running.
