I can tell that prepared and transmitted data is read from the serial port. Can raw digital and/or analog data be read from the serial port? If so can/do I read/parse the data through the system.io.port.serialport class? If i can't read raw serial port data through an implementation of a .net class, can someone suggest a starting point for me to create some way to do so? I just got to the point where I need to create a way to read external sensor data in my project and I haven't a clue where to start. I just need to be able to read raw data somehow in case the sensors i will use do not send data tidily.
