XCode - Dev only placeholder text in a Text View ?

Posted 25 March 2017 - 07:37 AM

Hello,

Is it possible to have some placeholder text inside a Text View and make it only readable within XCode, to aid developers on what this box should be used for ?

When ever I run my application following the iOS Apprentice book series I can't seem to achieve what is being described in the following paragraph:

"By default, Interface Builder puts a whole bunch of fake Latin text (Lorem ipsum dolor, etc) into the text view. Replace that text with (Description goes here). The user will never see that text, but its handy to remind yourself what this view is for."

I've tried entering the test as (Description goes here) and "(Description goes here)", but when ever I compile and run I can see the literal text within the Emulator.

Trivial question I know, but I just like to make sure I don't miss anything, even as small as this.

Thanks,
James

P.S - the book I'm following is the third in the 4 part book series located here: https://store.raywen.../ios-apprentice
