Reference Java file from JSP

Posted 02 July 2017 - 02:27 PM

Hi,

I am trying to reference a fully qualified java class in jsp code:
Make the name SARAH lower case : <%=CoolFunctions.jsp.FunUtils.makeItLower("SARAH") %>

my package is: CoolFunctions.jsp
class: FunUtils
method: makeItLower

but when I compile i get the error:
An error occurred at line: [11] in the jsp file: [/TestSite.jsp]
CoolFunctions.jsp.FunUtils cannot be resolved to a type

(where line 11 = <%=CoolFunctions.jsp.FunUtils.makeItLower("SARAH") %>)

Any ideas?

Is it specific to that class or do you have the same problem with other classes?

Right click your project name. Click properties. Click Java Build Path. Click on Add Class Folder. Then choose your class. Alternatively, add jars should work although you claim that you attempted that.
