Looks overly complex for such a simple task. Maybe you need to look at cleaning up some of the interface and asking yourself if there is a simpler way of accomplishing the task. That or see if perhaps you can hide some of the tasks away until needed. I am still not sure if the tasks really warrants its own whole application, but hey if it is a project to help you practice string manipulation, good on you. :)

Do you know if there is any application\Software that does exactly the same thing as "Multi String Replacer"?

for example:

Original Text = AAA - BBB

Replace any "A" with "B" and any "B" with "A"

Output Text = BBB - AAA
_________________________

from all the applications I tried to do the same thing as above, here is what I got:

Original Text = AAA - BBB

Replace any "A" with "B" then any "B" with "A"

Output Text = AAA - AAA

"AAA - AAA" is not desired output! The desired output is "BBB - AAA"

I can do that in, for example, Notepad++ with

find (regex)
(A{3}) - (B{3})

replace
$2 - $1

but if your app makes it easier to do this then that is good.

Replacing ALL A's and B's (with B's and A's) is a little more complicated though..

Added: I'd probably just use an intermediate character, such as ~ or a non-typable character, ž.

Yes, that can be easily done through my application! (see the image below)

My Win7 computer is kind slow, so I use classic theme!

(The application is compatible with win7, win8 and win10 - may work on xp and vista)

(100% Virus free - certified by Softpedia!)

There are dozens of these on-line.
Who gives two cents for replacing a string? How practical is this? Where are you going to use it?
I can do the same thing with a scrip inside of MS Word where it does some good.

Heck you can see the same kind of thing in a USEFUL app if you look at Better File Renamer - Rename entire folders full of files, batch renaming - mix and match rules and methods. By comparison this is just... well... Lame school assignment.

I'm going to be this is either the same guy, or a classmate of the guy who posted this:

and yet you didn't point out a link or anything at all! Great!

"Lame school assignment" - Haha! I doubt that you can do anything closer to "Multi String Replacer" with that Great Genius Mind of yours!

I don't know "devnacer" user, but believe me, he seems to be a very clever person than you!

and by the way, you really need to learn how to be polite, you really seem to be an uneducated person!

I have no need to do your Googling for you.

> I doubt that you can do anything closer to "Multi String Replacer"
I have a number of commercial software products to my credit. Some control cameras in amusement parks. Some point-of-sale systems. A green-screen (chromakey) algorithm that licenses out pretty well. My current product is under NDA but will be release in a fleet of vehicles across the country later this year. So I'm not really worried about your assumptions of my skill. (Psst: You might want to check my tutorials that get great reviews for helping other before guessing I don't know what I'm talking about.)

I'd also point out that while I trash-talked the application as having little real-world value, I didn't attack the person as you have done. I don't know the person. I can't claim to know their skills. Only that the app doesn't show any meaningful use, nor use much above first year coding. The person who wrote it could be brilliant but lazy. Maybe they have mad skills but not much creativity when it comes to ideas about applying them. I don't know. You on the other hand go after the person. There is a huge difference there.

> you really need to learn how to be polite
Actually I don't *need* to do anything. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. A right that people like me fought for, so people like you could enjoy it. You're welcome. I don't *need* to bow down to the "special snowflake" mentality that grips your generation. There are many people that will feed your ego. I don't *need* to be one of them. You've been here a day. I've been here seven years. Honestly I've pissed off many kids like yourself with my bluntness and honesty; probably because they aren't used to it. I don't mind. I suspect my words either fall on deaf ears so no harm, no foul. Or it acts like a swift kick in butt and they start to realize they need to step up their game if they want to compete in the world. I hope to anger someone enough to motivate them to prove me wrong. If they do that then I've succeeded in helping them.

The worst case is I'm just some guy at the end of a wire. Nothing but photons on a screen. My words aren't going to ruin someone's life, or even their morning. Much like your own don't affect my day.

> you really seem to be an uneducated person!
You probably want to write your own posts above a 7th grade level before throwing that statement around.
I'm comfortable with my Microsoft certifications, education/career as a military cryptographer, and now certified for developing cross-platform mobile device applications.

I really do wish you the best of luck in your chosen career field.

/I have no need to do your Googling for you./

I know you didn't find anything closer to "Multi String Replacer"! I'm so sorry for you!/

/I hope to anger someone enough to motivate them to prove me wrong/

Haha! Who are you to people prove you wrong about anything? you are being delirious!

/I have a number of commercial software products to my credit... and blah blah blah blah blah/

Woaw, I am very impressed!

But hey, I'm just being honest with you, you still seem to be a very uneducated person!

Just learn how to be polite and people will like you!

/Microsoft certifications, education/career as a military cryptographer ... and blah blah blah/

And you still are uneducated! Shame on you ...!

Believe me, with all that Great Genius Mind of yours, I know you still don't have the knowledge to write something even closer to "Multi String Replacer" ! Microsoft certifications are just not enough to make you able to write such a complex application! Don't be Mad with me, ok? Keep calm!

I really do wish you the best of luck and please try to be just a little bit polite with other people!
(Being polite is more important than accumulating "Microsoft certifications"! Ok? Stay cool my friend!)
