Something insted of javarush

Posted 18 August 2017 - 08:01 AM

I was doing javarush.net course, but it has only 10/40 levels finished. Anyone can recommend other courses in java? This is not some spam or seo thread. I just want some honest opinions.

No. Spammer would just post link with multiple new accounts. I just want some answer from people who probably knows it.

More specific on naming this courses. Site with hundreds of courses isn't very specific.

No. I don't want video courses. Video is the worst way of learning something in most cases.

... but that's what you asked for. You indicated you were doing video courses already and asked for other sources.

If it's books then my handy trick is to hit up Amazon, throw in your topic, sort by release date, and then skim for fairly well reviewed books. After that compare individual reviews and the table of contents to help narrow down a few excellent choices. This helps making sure you get a quality book with a reasonable publish date!

Javarush is not video course. It's something like a game. You get some text that explains the lesson (for example classes, how to print some text etc.) and then some task to write code that do something and you get points that you spend on getting to new level.

It's probably a stupid question, but how to view table of centets in amazon? I can't see that option anywhere.

Click on the book's image. Typically it says "take a look inside" with an overlaid image.

This is probably not exactly what you are looking for, but the pinned Java Resources thread has several links to good learning materials.
