In my non-coder life, I'm a lazy piece of shit. I take a lot of naps. And I whine about being out of shape, but I don't bother getting up and doing anything about it.

Also, I torment my cats by forcing them to receive my love and snuggles against their wills.

when I am not coding, I binge watch the seasons of many TV shows and anime. I draw and make pixel art. I also play dota 2 and indie side scrolling games.

Neo has a whole crafts room she set up iirc. Or at least a really well put together station.

And yeah! Those are my groups - two separate ones actually. I play bass and do backing vocals for both. Both are about to release new CDs, we've got singles on the radio for Hopped Up (MCRNR) and also Medicine Man (Their Accomplices). Their Accomplices are (is?) going on tour in October, too! We're gonna head down to Florida (from Cincinnati), spend a couple days there, and then head back up.

Next year we're going to do a northeast tour. It's gonna be tits.

That's cool. They say programmers are geeks but I say, some people just don't understand how cool and talented programmers are.

I watch a lot of anime too. I play Sims 4 and check out some tv dramas.

I actually was going to say "when I am not programming, I am debugging..." But then I realized this topic is completely irrelevant to coding.

These days it is Boruto, Tokyo Ghoul for anime, GOTs, NewsRoom and Suits for TV dramas.

When I am not coding I am out attending to my garden. Currently growing:

1) Green Beans
2) Kale
3) Rainbow Swiss Chard
4) Rosemary
5) Parsley
6) Peas
7) Oregeno
8) Thai Basil
9) Green Onions
10) Sage

I am also making an effort to walk around a lot and just enjoy being outside during the summer months in the city of Vancouver BC. :)

I wished I could garden, my apartment doesn't have room or any nearby community gardens.

Do you have room for a planter box at least? Growing herbs can be pretty easy. Direct sunlight, water daily during the summer. It is ridiculous how much they charge in the grocery store for herbs and you can grow your own which is easier and can even be organic. At times I can't even keep up with how much oregano I have. I harvest and have to give it to other people as gifts.

One harvesting of my rosemary alone is like $5 worth at the grocery store. My rosemary plant will give me clippings all year long and I will save about $100 at on that plant alone. :)

That's a nice hobby you got. My father's really good with planting as we have a farm where he grows some flowers and vegetables. I have not tried it myself but I'm starting to consider it as my new house has a little gardening space in front.

As I first shared that I write poems, I do post in a poetry site besides my blog. I fear though that readers there won't get to understand my new poem as it needs some technical knowldge of programming.

Hope you can check it out in my site and share your thoughts on this poem at this link.

Here I am again, trying to keep this topic alive so we can continue to share our non-programming whims. I have written a new programming poem on switch(){}. I really hope that you like the poem We Needed Not break;

Though I say non-programming, I ended up writing a poem on programming anyway. :)

After hours, I like reading and writing. But I especially like to play guitar. Purely amateur stuff, learning from YouTube and tab sites.

Of late, I've been learning how to publish ebooks (learning ebook formatting, which is just HTML, and simple cover design). I published my first one a few days ago.

I want to do that too. I registered in Kindle but haven't published anything yet. Does it earn well?

In my case, no, it does not earn well. Making money on books works best when you have a good platform already, or you write books in a popular genre that catches good word-of-mouth.
