Should I be concerned about chrome extensions?

Posted 12 October 2017 - 01:07 PM

I want to install this chrome extension called "block site" which is an anti procrastination extension but as you can see it says it can read and change all the data. Does this mean it can literally read what I'm typing, what is displayed on my screen and any other potentially private information?

Perhaps read up on reviews and their privacy policy.

I didn't even know they had a privacy thing. It had over 14,000 ratings and a 4.5 star overall but in the privacy thing they basically collect your browsing history and share or sell all your activity and non personal information so I think I'll pass.

Thanks.
