C++ with Qt is pretty much just a browser, isn't it? Without the network part of course.

No... why would you say that? It is an application framework and can do native type of things like accessing databases, parsing, thread management and yes even networking.

What is actually funny is a lot of devs at the company I work at use Qt and don't know anything about web development, browsers etc. Maybe you saw some XML and thought it looked like HTML??

Markup is markup..

A browser is a set of codes that interprets markup.
Qt is a markup that's interpreted by a set of codes.

(I'm a web dev btw, I know next to nothing about C++ and Qt)

C+++ is the future until C++++ is released.
