Create an editor for the game engine

Hi.

I have made a game engine in c++ and opengl. I want to make a level editor for it.

So my question is how can I make an editor? Can I put a opengl context on C# app? Or how can I make a c# like forms application in c++? I know how to create a win32 window but the opengl context will take the whole window so I will have no room for the buttons(or the gui of editor).

How is your 'level' information stored? Back-in-the-day I used to store them as pure numbered arrays so yeah.. making something that can edit and save an array to a given text file was pretty easy to do with a winform, console app, or what ever.

Thank you for replying.

My level info is stored in a text file.
They are a 2D array of numbers.
I can make a sperate editor to create a txt file as an output but I want it to be able to 'playable'(preview) in the editor(like Unity, Unreal) so I can't do that.

Is there anyway I can make an editor that can also play(preview) the game in the editor?

Ah sure? You would have to finagle openGL into it. How? That's a whole mess dependent on what you cooked up.
