Faster DIC for Non-DIC++ Members & Guests

Posted 15 January 2008 - 09:48 AM

Last night I overhauled the advertising engine so the ads don't hold up the page load. In recent days we have had problems with one of our ad agencies' server hanging and thus causing DIC to hang. This should be resolved now and you should see very fast page load times that won't be hindered by any of the advertisements.

DIC++ members won't see a change as they don't see any of the ads anyway :)

Enjoy the faster DIC.

Being a DIC++ member, I've still noticed the difference. (I'm not complaining ;) )

Yesterday, pings on dreamincode.net gave responses after 1000ms +
It's approx. 200ms now.

It seems totally unrelated to the ads but what the heck, DIC is a lot faster now.
