deleting or modifying a post.

hi,
i was wondering if it is possible for one to delete or modify one's post after it is written.
i posted something a while back and i want to delete it and repost it or modify the whole thing.
i don't see any buttons that will allow me to do that.
any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
