Computer Name Instead Of Ip Addy For Server

Posted 01 July 2002 - 06:27 AM

Alrighty, what I want to do is to use a computer name instead of an IP address for the server in the connection string to a databese. I give you the following:

..."Driver={SQL Server};DSN=IDMN;server=66.188.170.121;UID=sa;pwd=idmn;Database=TWO;"...

so yea... I wanna use my copmuter name instead.... Any suggestions?
