Access ActiveDirectory From VisualBasic.Net

Posted 24 January 2008 - 03:13 PM

search.Filter = String.Format("(&(SAMAccountName={0})(givenName={1})(sn={2}))", ExtractUserName(loginName), givenName, surName)

Can I get something like this to get a group name or to get a list of users of a specific group.

Not too long ago I wrote a tutorial on Working with the Active Directory in VB.Net. It's a pretty good read, and it should answer your questions regarding the Active Directory and how to access it :)
