Custom Calendar

I am trying to make a calendar that acts as a text box where users can enter something for the date and then save it.

I have searched for code on the internet but have not had much luck.

Does anyone know how to implement this, I am guessing it will have to be a datagridview that is linked to a monthCalendar.

Why not use the DateTimePicker control?

You can find it in your toolbox.
