Preventing SQL Injection in MySQL and SQL Server with a variety of languages with examples on removing its abilities. I'm still a beginner in Databases and I think it would be good to be safe with SQL before I delve into using it.

I know there is a tutorial in the PHP section, I just don't think it would be a very effective method in an enterprise application.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I always thought that perventing SQL Injection is all done on the application layer.

Write a SQL query that joins two tables in the example database and uses greater than to restrict record selection.

If you are looking for a tutorial, check out the DIC Database Tutorials Section and W3Schools.com. However, tutorial != homework, so we will be happy to help you if you show us your good faith efforts. :) Feel free to open a new thread with your good faith efforts and a specific description of your problems or errors. Thanks for helping us help you!

I would prefer to see completed tutorials with actual "SELECT" statements showing how the result was achieved.

Like here at relational-database-design-normalization, no actual "SELECT" statements showing how the result was achieved?

If there is a topic you'd like to see covered in either SQL Server or mySQL then put your request here.

I could use some instruction in removing duplicates from the bottom 100 or so entry.

What is the counterpart of SELECT TOP 100 , ie SELECT BOTTOM?

THANX AHEAD OF TIME

I'm not sure if there is a BOTTOM clause, but you could accomplish basically the same thing with ORDER BY DESC and LIMIT clauses, with the LIMIT clause to limit the number of results.

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro and am having a hard time setting up a Oracle database on it. I would like an Oracle base so I can use it for practice in developing Web Applications. I have absolutely no idea on how to do this and would really like to know.
