quick bursts maybe with something like stumbleupon, or a del.icio.us ... i dont know about sustained visits

I've not had much luck. I found it to be a waist of my time, because for the time that I spend getting the links out there, I usually get general boredom traffic, & not anyone actually interested in what our site(s) have to offer.

I disagree, incoming links from websites with relevant data is the best way to improve PR & SEO.
