i am transfering a value from one text box from its form to a different textbox on a different form. It was working but for some reason it is not working on any of my forms now. no name changes to text box or forms were done. any ideas?

you have to save the value of the textbox so that it can be accessed by the other form...I believe it has to be saved as Public and as a string

Actually you don't have to save the data in the initial TextBox in order for it to be accessible by the 2nd form.

vber are you getting any kind of error at all, because that syntax looks correct.
