Hi
I have done small application (about 50KB) on my VB Express and I wanted to setup it on my XP (non-framework)?
then i ve published it on my HD and copyed it on xp
All process of instalation of framework was very sluggilsh, slowly + updating all commponents of ms w. xp

how do it as should be?
why when i download anything fom microsoft i donot need framework BUT when i wont to publish or share my thiny application, then there must be framework.

I need some advise from people which like vb and do standalone setup files.
Is there any way to do this in VB.NET or VStudio.
Or maybe there is no way.maybe i donot understund it. or i should change programing envirement. (C or JAVA)
I know some programs like xenocode and simillar.
VB6 it is possible i have my application everywhere
I donot want to put my program on server and update it - not yet (too early for me)
Just share with few pals - please

You cannot run a .Net application on a computer that does not have the Framework installed, there is no way of getting around this. For a quick and dirty installation you can use the ClickOnce Deployment feature available in the .Net Framework 2.0.

You can also create a regular setup package in Visual Studio 2005, and can even bootstrap the Framework installation files to your setup package. But you have to install the .Net Framework on any computer the application will run on.
