hi all...i've just joined this forum and am pleased to be surrounded by so many experts.... i'm new to the web design lark, and have managed to design my first flash 8 page. i now wish to add some user interaction, eg. login and join up page as well as a forum. i finally managed to get mysql/php and apache up and running,but cant find any tutorials on how to attach all four...please help!!!!

Hmm...the google-fu is weak in this one .
Also, check out the Flash tutorials here on DIC, several deal with passing data between Flash and PHP.

Some are designed around Flash MX, but the approach still applies to Flash 8 ... Of course, once you get a handle on this little gem, you'll never look back:
AMFPHP
It allows you to create PHP functions that you can access directly from Flash. I use it all the time, and it works great.
