AdamSpeight2008, shouldn't CV be curriculum vitae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CV), not curriculum vitea?

Re: Share Your Resume

I wanted to share some files I received from my career services department at school.

Resume Dos

A resume should:

* Be truthful and accurate
* Be presented in reverse chronological order
* Highlight significant accomplishments
* Be error free (have someone else proof read it and use spell check)
* Be presented in an easy-to-read and consistent format
* Utilize bullet points
* Be geared toward a specific position
* Include results that can be measured or quantified

Resume Doníts

A resume should not include:

* Misrepresentations (never lie or exaggerate)
* Personal information (i.e. height, weight, marital status, etc.)
* Misspelled words or errors in grammar and/or punctuation (use spell check)
* Salary information
* Reasons for leaving previous jobs
* Reference information ( it is assumed that you will provide references when asked)
* Employer addresses (city and state are sufficient)
* Photos or fancy designs

Seth, I LOVE your resume format. I would use it myself, that's one of the best ones I've seen! One suggestion I might make is that you might want to put the newer stuff first and go backward for education and experience. Then they see the better/most recent/relevant things first. It's an awesome format, though. :wub:

Wow, That's probably one of the nicest resumes I have seen. I haven't looked at all of them on here but yours is very impressive.

I must ask, did you format everything yourself, or find a template?

Mine is a work in progress.......Attatched

Been awhile. Just thought I'd post an updated resume. This one's tailored to an application at Zynga, the ones who make Mafia Wars and Farmville and such. Also applying to Lockheed Martin's media department in the next day or two.

Here's the portfolio, too, if anyone's curious: http://thebeege.byethost2.com/

It simply won't let me upload it. Maybe its because my account is a "n00b", but I have actually posted on other forum sites and all other stuff.

Or maybe its because I'm using Firefox Private Browsing mode?

That's a very well designed CV, the design does not distract from the content and the use of colours is wonderful. It's a great CV for a web designer.

Off-Topic: Your site doesn't validate 2 CSS errors (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joshuab.co.cc%2F), 43 XHTML errors, 43 warnings (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joshuab.co.cc%2Fwork.html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0).

Here is a copy of my resume. It is a simple skills, clubs, and education. Since I'm still a student the experience is a little lacking so the focus is mostly weighted this way.

Cain & Abel + Etheral = FUN programs.

I love Cain, but I havent worked to much with Etheral but its a very powerful usuful program. What do you use them for?
