I come from a telecommunications background but have found that I just really enjoy programming and so am now trying to change career fields. I am currently attending college and will soon have my AAS in web and application development and hopefully a BS will soon follow. I'm not real sure how much information from jobs in non-related career fields I should include on my Resume, but here's what I've got for now.

I would post mine but I only have education in IT. No experience at all. Imma try and get some from the Army. No one will hire me with only education and no exp.

bocaccio if you can take the hit in pay you can always go for an intern based position. If you impress people during the intern you may even be able to walk out with a job.
I decided to up my programming skills so I did a sandwich course in Computer Science at my local University (Wolverhampton) and for course credit in my third year I got to be an intern for a local software house. It's really boosted my employability and the experience was well worth it.

I appreciate the response. The job market is so bad here and when your married with kids you do not wanna pay cut. Imma go with the military to try and get commissioned as an officer and milk them for more certs/classes/degrees and hopefully some experience somewhere down the line. Its financially a smart decision for me.

Looks like a draft really. Keep the same font; do generalized, centered, and capitalized headers; and avoid bullets when possible. Otherwise, nice. ^__^

Thanks for the feedback!! I do have all the same font, however you are following a different format in regards to the centering, and capitalizing headers. I think it looks good that way but its not exactly my style and how I have been taught.

Is there any way to exchange the interests section for a leadership and awards section? I think that would be more relevent. Just a thought.

@jpconleyiv My main recommendation for your resume would be to remove your Twitter account information. While we all could try to keep our posts professional, the non-professional rants can still slip through.
If you wanted to include anything, a LinkedIn profile link would be more acceptable. You will find that more and more employers are searching for their perspective candidates on places like Facebook and other social media outlets. Keeping them clean and professional is much preferable to the alternative. Just a thought.
