Alright. Just got back, so check these out
The DMZ is guarded 24 hours a day by these BAMFS:

The uniform looks cool and is designed to intimidate North Korean soldiers. They are first responders and have blackbelts in over 3 different martial arts
This is the JSA (joint security area). Here ROK (republic of korea) and US troops guard their/our half of this area. Blue buildings are South Korea/grey belong to the North.

The guards shield part of themselves with the building for the tour's protection and also in case of sniper fire.
The building in the center of this shot is North Korea's house for reuniting families. Ironic since they don';t allow their citizens anywhere near here for fear of defection. Check out the north Korean guard eying us with his little telescope

Here is a shot of the bridge of no return. After the armistice was signed in 1953, POWs were exchanged. they were told they could go to either side, but no returning once they picked (hence the name).

I got some more if ya'll enjoyed that. I recommend it again--it's awesome!

In the second photo (blue and grey buildings)... Was that you in the lower left hand corner giving us
your thumbs up? LOL
Not only are they black belts, but they have to train for 6 hours every day, seven days a week,
and do it on their "own" time. I am thrilled you got to go on this tour. Everytime you have a gripe
about "America" from this point on, you'll be able to see it in a slightly different light. I wish every american
could go see this. Imagine being shot, for stepping across a line, or being imprisoned for trying to do the same.
Good for you KYA!!!! Send a few more photos.
