Output to a seperate Web form in ASP.net

Posted 11 April 2008 - 08:49 AM

Hello all! I am new to ASP.net. I am trying to output from one Web Form, to Another in ASP.net . If I were in VB.net the code would look like this

 Private Sub SummaryToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles SummaryToolStripMenuItem.Click
		'calculate the average metrics for the day and display the on the Summary Form.
		Dim messageString As String
		frmSummary.ShowDialog()

What would be the ASP.net version of "frmSummary.ShowDialog () ?

Thanks in advance for any Help.
Mark

If I understand you right, you want to move from one form to another. it is lots easier in ASP.net: to go from form (default.aspx to anotherform.aspx)

response.redirect(anotherform.aspx).

Let me know if that is what you wanted, or state the question differently, if it is not what I answered for :)

If you're just looking to output some info you can use a label or textbox conrol. You set the text property of the label to your string.
string myString = "This is my string";
yourLabel.Text = myString;

Something like this.
