Limewire, Napster, any of the others, a.k.a. "Virus central"....

Do you use them, if so which ones? What kind of files do you go after?

I have heard some horrible stories about Limewire... Yet, I have never had a problem. I use a backup (500Mhz with 1/2 meg memory) to download, and virus test everything... Mainly I go after videos, and MP3's, but I have heard of people downloading applications and trashing their systems... opinions> Horror stories?

the only people who get viruses on these programs dont know how to use them. I can picture someone trying to download a video and downloading an executable with a good name

I heard Tone Loc doesn't even know what a torrent is. Hey I don't make this stuff up. I am just telling you what I heard.

I use Frostwire (pretty much Limewire Pro for free) mostly for music.

I download torrents on occasion, too.

Once on Limewire a long time ago, I tried to download a program on my boyfriend's laptop and pretty much screwed the whole thing with some nasty viruses, but I managed to fix it and the computer is now in good working condition. He bought a new macbook pro though, so I don't think he really cared. ;)

not an idiot, just someone who isn't aware of the amazing technologies used by millions of people to steal stuff and a couple hundred thousand used for legitimate purposes.

now, if someone said torrents were inferior, that would be an idiot.

Torrents, frostwire sometimes (though it's pretty much useless nowadays because of all the crap the **AA has flooded it with).

I used to use IRC to get things.

That makes me feel soooooooo much better.... Because ummmm....
I use corel alot, I design Tshirts for a print shop in N. Carolina, and I come and play on DIC, and when I hear a country music song I like, I pop on Limewire and snag it.... I have heard of torrents of course, but basically ignored them, because I don't use that type of software very often.
Tell me a little more about these torrents. I don't need a damn tutorial guys....
