Netscape Request("request_method") Compatibility

Posted 24 September 2002 - 12:35 PM

Alrighty... here's my dilema. For some reason this request("REQUEST_METHOD") property isn't complying with Netscape, thus always running the script contaned within the If statement. Here's my code in case there is something wrong with that.

If (request("REQUEST_METHOD") = "POST") Then
	Connection()
	RsStr	= "Select WebUserID, WebPsswrd From "
	RsStr	= RsStr & "AB9CuApp WHERE WebUserID='" & Session("User") & "' "
	RsStr	= RsStr & "AND WebPsswrd='" & Session("Pass") & "'"
	Rs.open RsStr, Conn, 3, 3
	If Request.Form("txtOld") = trim(Session("Pass")) Then
  If Request.Form("txtNew") = Request.Form("txtVerify") Then
 	 Rs("WebPsswrd") = Request.Form("txtNew")
 	 Rs.Update
 	 Status = "Information updated sucessfully."
  Else
 	 Status = "New and verify password fields do not match."
  End If
	Else
  Status = "Incorrect password." & Request.Form("txtOld")
	End If
	Connection()
Else
	Status = "Incorrect password."
End If

Please excuse my stupidity.... I now know why I am getting an incorrect password thing. It's because I wrote and [else] statement on my requestmethod thinger...

It's just one of those days....
