Some examples of places I've worked:
Servers named for places in Lord of the Rings: Lothlorien, Helmsdeep, Gondor, etc.
Servers named for the pilots in Top Gun: Maverick, Iceman, Goose, etc.
Of course, some have been boring and utilitarian, like mnsvradc01 (main server active domain controller 1).
The *NIX houses had the cooler ones.
Your server farm naming conventions.Have you had any interesting ones?

Our labs used to have cool names.
One was star wars planet systems, another was cartoon characters.
Our 64 login server is called nintendo64, our alpha login server is nicked named Alf. Otherwise its pretty boring now with convention function+host

The CS Lab at my University names all the workstations after Pokemons.
Pretty funny to work at computers named Squirtle and Snorlax. lol

Pokemon sounds like a pretty good idea!
Here at work they're all named after family guy characters - although the production servers are named boring things like SQL1, IIS1, etc.
My home servers are generally named generic names - Max, and George.

Web Servers 1,2, & 3 - Armorok 1, 2, & 3
Web Server 4 - Gandalf (from Lord of the Rings

My other computers I don't have a name for - just: My laptop, My other laptop, My desktop, etc.
