What is the best technique for indexing a new site in google?

I have been using social bookmarking with good success, but I was wondering what everyone else is doing.

You could also start by adding a link to your site in your forum sigs and maybe a topic about it on any forum/site you own (make sure you either own the site/forum or are posting in the correct section). Then, as stated, submitting your site to SEOs.

i tried submitting my content to social bookmarking then i ping each one of them..

The best way to get indexed and increase your search engine ranking is to get incoming links to your website from websites with a related subject matter. If the incomming links has the text you are trying to rank for as the "anchor text" of the link, it will help you to get indexed and thereby rank higher for that search term. Also understand that nothing is instant, Google loves content so first Google will index your domain name then your title then sub title then keywords and so on

link building I think is the fast way google to index your site.
Also, skyhawk is right, isn't your signature offers search engine optimization?

The fastest way to get indexed with google is use their Webmaster Tools. If you go to google and search webmaster tools and click on the one for Google Webmaster tools. You will need an account with google but once you do that you can login and submit your website to google and it will eventually get indexed. Also once it gets indexed with google you get details about the page that is very usually like pagerank. Another good way to get indexed in google is through unique page content and free search engine submission.
