If you keep an eye out on Intel's medium range road map, you'll know that they want to get into the graphics business again (Larrabee, etc). Another sign for this is a new website they've launched in co-operation with Gamasutra that is one of the most prominent website and community of game programmers.
So if you are interested in the gaming and graphics industry, I'm sure it'll be a place to bookmark, because Intel will put a lot of money behind it, so I guess it'll be worth to check it.
