Trivia Pursuit

Let's try a little game of Trivia Pursuit. I'll start with a simple question.
The first person to get it right can ask the next question. Subjects can be anything you wish, computer/tech, entertainment, Science, whatever, however, let's keep it clean. No John Holmes / Linda Lovelace questions.
Please -- ONE answer per day to allow others to log on and have a chance --
First question to start you off:

This event took place in September 1966, and is now paramount.

Paramount pictures were established during that year. I don't even know the meaning of paramount.

Let me clarify, not the style of light saber, but fighting style while using a saber.

Which programming language that was first used on punch card machines in the 1960's is still widely used today?
