Your Schools Dress Code

Posted 14 October 2002 - 07:34 PM

the ONLY dress code in my school is that they dont want to see bra-straps or a females belly-button (allthough that is RARELY enforced)

i was reading the dress code for Rio Rancho HS

ALL clothes MUST be Cotton, Woll, or Corduroy, or cotton blend (no polyester)

& all clothes MUST be A solid colour, (blue, green, white, tan or grey) (what it says on the website)

so basically nothing I or quik own can be worn in the school.

i guess since its in the US they are scared you might cause a siesure to somebody staring at your multi-coloured shirt.

same thing goes for pants

now i understand why these rules are put in place, to keep order and such
but what about variety and style? If i want to advertise my team on a sweater? Nope, sorry, we have rules that go agains you expressing your right as in individule. Go home and change your clothes, MAYBE tomorrow when you come to your sences about your choice of clothing i MIGHT be able to let you back into the school. prohibited: jewerly or hairstyle that can hurt other students or cause a damage to the education system

well i guess TECHNICALLY an earing can be removed and used to stab somebody.

http://www.rrps.k12....ighschoolsw.pdf

go there to view these rules. I have nothing against them, they just destroy individuality & expression, thats all. No biggie.

NOW TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SCHOOLS DRESS CODE / BIzarre rules

i command you!!

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

@ mnhs. they inforce a strict code. its not crazy like that.
but if ur not exactly in line your gone...

@ mhs they rarely inforce anything...
the only thing they do enforce is if your wearing all solid colors throughout your clothing...

if your wearing an ALL blue, red, yellow, black outfit...

thats cause of gangs....

but if u even wore adidas shorts with the lil logo instead of all blue shorts you would be okay. haha.

I go to a private school. No cargo pockets, no logos, must wear a collard school shirt, no jeans, no hats, must tuck in your shirt, must wear a belt... blah. I hate that school.

actually its not that bad. i mean, it still sucks, but lately they've been giving us friday dress down days, and after a while you most people who havent already realize it, realize that clothes don't make the person.

and if you notice, a lot of those things say "that disrupt the educational process" which basically means those people that go way over board and break the dress code for the sake of breaking the dress code. which are the same losers who are the reason we have the policy anyways.

ive seen what u wear rofl
i see you EVERY day at school

heh

yeah i agree with sloth if they are going to have a dress code one day a week for wearing other stuff would probably be a good idea

but even if there was no dress code stuff like vilgar language / drug logos on shirts should not be tolerated anyways! its kind of an endless loop... :(

lol ryan if u lived there u wouldnt be able to wear your sisters pants to school, since they have the white stripe? i think? im not sure.

I went to a private school but the only dress code was no shorts/short skirts, no hats, and nothing inappropriate on t-shirts.
