Ok, now I'm done joking around. If you'll take advice from an older lady, married a long time, don't go after a player. Really. Find a nice guy. Even a nerd. Did you know most nerds are really smart? That means they get good jobs. Programmers make lots of money. And, just between you and me (and the nearly 100,000 other members here) lots of nerds are desperate for a date...can't get one. That means they treat you better when they finally get a girl.

Trust me. Don't date a player. Date a nerd. Bill Gates was a nerd. Think about that.

i know a guy who makes lotsa money.. a professional.. and he's not a nerd.... and i find him more appealing than a nerd! a nerd doesnt know how to treat a lady..

Being of the female, old chick, bitter, jaded, old nerd variety, all I have to say is WTF...

Honestly, if there is some guy out there who's got your panties in such an insecure state that you need to ask the people on a forum for advice.... move on. He's not worth the time, effort and aggrivation.

And I would hope there are women in this world who choose their partners based on substance... not eye candy. Seriously, if you want a loyal, dedicated, intelligent man, find a nerd. They will be far better to you than some sleazy piece of eye candy. Any day.

I wish I could say something, but I'm more of a relationship kind of person and if I fell in love with someone in the first place then it shouldn't really matter what they are- though honestly it would creep me out if they were not the gender I thought they were.

I wouldn't know what I would be talking about>_< which kind of hurts my chances at all for being masculine. This means the question you ask is more of a social gender than a physical gender, where you might find women who can answer your question as well as men can (and the women in question don't have to be lesbians, it's what they find out in the other person that's the answer to the question).

As a married man, and nerd/geek, all I did was act natural....which happens to be nice, sweet, etc. Of course it also got me asked on more than one occasion if I was gay, in which I would have to prove that I wasn't, but that is besides the point.
My brother is a player, and can't keep a girl to save his life. Most of my relationships lasted more than three months. Take the geek/nerd over a player. You'll come out better in the long run, plus some geeks/nerds aren't all that bad looking. We just like to use our brains more than most.

I've dated them all... jocks, nerds, players, rednecks, etc, etc.... the nerds are by far the nicest you'll find. Just a shame I dumped the nerds and married the jocks....

but as they say.... hindsight is always 20/20.... right?

That's what I said, too.
I found the right man the first time, though. I didn't think he was a nerd, but I guess he thought so. lol.
Of course, jocks usually wouldn't give me the time of day.
