i cant get a server installed.. mysql install keeps failing because there is remnants of an old install somewhere.. i uninstalled it, removed any links from the registry, disabled the old service.. it still wont work and i still get an error referencing the old mysql directory, which doesnt exist anymore.

i just need help with this problem.. can't understand it. XP is running on the box I'm having the trouble with, btw.

I guess I'm special, and mine randomly has mysql? Thats all I did.

mySQL does come with some distro's of PHP, however, if you download it directly from PHP.net, it does not actually come with the mySQL compilation, it comes with the ability to talk to mySQL... but it's not included in the installation.

So the bottom line is, install FoxServe
