hijacking another application

Posted 14 July 2008 - 07:50 PM

I've come to C++ because it's one of the lowest levels of programming I could somewhat understand and I was wonder if it's possible to hijack another application. I use the word "hijack" because I have no idea what it's actually called.

I want to create an add-on to an existing program similar to MSN plus for the MSN Messenger.

My question now is, what tools do I need and what do I need to know in order to create an add-on for a WIN32 application?

Or if it's better, just tell me what the method is called so I can search it up because "add-on" and "hijack" doesn't reveal relevant results.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
