I'm just starting out in the programming world and have really liked it so far. I'm wondering what brought everyone else into the programming world or what got you first interested in it?

Well I started out wanting to take over the world, then after a few years I got tired of competing with Martyr2. Now I do it because of the challenge, that and I was put on this planet to write code.

Because I'm interested in it, and because work want me too.

I've always had an interest in playing with how my computer works, from days back in the mists of time spent playing with autoexec.bat and
config.sys so programming was kind of a natural step. Its taken work showing a real interest in training me which has really helped my focus though,
the existence of a real world project is a big incentive as well.

Well I always wanted to make my own program but I didn't no anything about programming languages so... I asked my uncle (he is a software and web developer!!) and he told me all about programming languages. But he also told me to start off with web developing before any software developing. But I know a good bit on Visual Basic so yeah I kinda ignored him a bit... but at least now I am listening to what he said

Eh, my friend got me into it. He was one of those guys that was always fiddling with how his computer worked, and it sort of just rubbed off on me after awhile. So we took programing courses in high school...

Now I'm sitting in a college level programing class cursing syntax differences
