I agree 100%
I was just discussing this with someone yesterday at work. He was all, why don't you keep up to date with the technology? And I said, don't think for a second that I would trust my website of 2000+ members and over 60,000 posts to a beta product. Not that I have anything wrong with testing out software, but never in an environment where 2 years of hard work is on the line

not to mention, the whole site is connected to the same user db. Including tutorials, articles, and resources, and converting even once is gonna be a pain in my ass, converting twice, or even three times, just makes me cringe.

Backup Databases and export skin..
Then upgrade board to 1.1 Beta, and vwolla...
There is an expected "rumor" 2 more releases until 1.1 Final, and upgrading is as easy as replacing like 5 files every beta release.

kidd0, what does 1.1 offer that the present version doesn't? I'm a happy user of 1.0.1 and I'm curious.

no. good call slothy.
kidd0, im not sure if you heard me at all, but everything runs off the same db and modded forum system. its not gonna happen. we'll just wait the two months, then work on slowly upgrading everything. honestly, im not even sure that upgrading is really necesary sure it'll be nice, specially if everything runs smooth, but im not even sure we need it. think of it as a nice bonus.

i enjoy upgrading my board...i don't upgrade to a beta product though. Once it becomes a final release then i might try it and upgrade it.
