I would have chosen opera as a tie with firefox if it wasn't for their ugly skin.

 That's a pretty silly reason considering there are a lot of different themes for Opera.

Tango is personally my favorite.

Yeah it is a stupid reason, but I also found one more reason for not liking opera as much.
You can not reorder the toolbars

I have FireFox 3! B)

Well, I dunno why, mine just starts up very close to instantly if I'm not doing a lot of other crap when I start it up. Such as a virus scan or something.

Yeah I also have firefox 3. It's the best there is. Before Firefox 3 I hated firefox. It was the new skin that made me change from Internet Explorer to FireFox 3. I am very picky about what I use.

1 thing Opera can do that FF can't: Opera can open and save in MHT format. I'm really suprised they didn't add in that feature in FF3.

Like i said in my first post, Opera doesn't have a spell checker, and that's the main reason why i lean toward FF. Anyone know of some sort of a spell checker plugin for Opera?

Wow I didn't even know that. You would think that they would've put that in Firefox 3. I wonder why they didn't.

Forgive my ignorance, but MHT doesn't seem all that useful.

I'd rather use something like HTTrack to save a page to standard HTML that can be opened by any browser, than some special format that apparently is only really supported by a select few. :)

MHT is very useful, and it is widely used. It can store an entire web page, images and all, in one flat file. Of all the major browsers, IE and Opera support it.

Edit: Firefox does not support MHT by itself, but it does with the help of an extension.

You shouldn't have to add an extension to firefox for it to work, they should have it do that automatically

Where have you been for the last 3 years? Opera has had spell checking since version 7.50. Granted, it's not that great, but it works. All you need to do to make it work is install GNU Aspell. Once you have that, just right-click a text area and select "Check Spelling".

A spellchecker really doesn't belong in individual apps as much as it belongs in the GUI toolkit. I don't think any of them actually do it that way, but they should.

Think how nice it would be if all the spellcheckers on your system automatically used the same dictionary, or how nice it would be to automatically have a spellchecker in all of your applications. :^:

I just got an extension for FF that simulates the mouse gesture feature of Opera. I also got an extension that adds a speed dial function to FF. It seems everything that made Opera Opera is being ported into Firefox in the form of extensions. I also made a few tweaks to FF to make it start up a bit faster. Opera still beats it in speed, but overall, i give Firefox my vote. I'll be sticking with it for a while.

Firefox 3 is the best in my opinion.
If there was no FF though I would use Safari.
Safari's my second favorite.

FF3 Is my vote. :)

By the way, Safari and Firefox 3 are the fastest browsers I think.

Opera FTW!

Opera's next preview browser codenamed WinGogi scores 100/100 on the Acid3 Test.

You can see it for yourself by downloading Opera WinGogi Desktop from here.
