i need to make lightnings in photoshop 8,i looked for many tutorials that say
filter>render>clouds
filter>render>different clouds
and a lot of that and i followed the instructions exactly and got nothing useful
i never got the result in the image as it was said
how can i make it then?

There are plenty of lightning effect videos and tutorials out there. If one doesn't work for you, just find another and follow the steps. One good one is located at the link below...

Tutorial: Create Lightning in Photoshop

The process is similar in other tutorials but this one gives a pretty good effect. Especially if you are going to incorporate the lightning into a picture.
