New Topic/Question
About two months ago I “hooked up” with my best friend’s ex-girlfriend. They had been going steady for about a month. It was your typical boy meats girl, boy likes girl, girl hates guy, relationship. From the day I had met his former girlfriend, we really liked each other (even though we never said anything about it) and we got along great! So then eventually she dumped him and we hooked up. (Keep in mind that this was my best friend.) Now what I need to know is how long I should have waited because I’m pretty sure my best friend wants to kill me now in light of the fact we got together less than two days after they broke up. So how long should I have waited???

i had exactly the same thing ..... my flatmate was going out with a girl....split up with her after about 2 weeks.... we both got on really well... i spoke to him and made sure it was ok, after about a week we started going out together.....................................we've now been together for...coming up 3 years in febuary! - GO FOR IT

Hmmm, That's quite touchy. I'd wait at LEAST a month or two... I mean, You friendship with your good friend can last a lifetime, what if the relationship with the girl doesnt and your friend gets a little ticked about it? He might not say anything or that it is okay... but yea... It isn't okay... seen it happen....

Bros before ho's. If he is the kind of guy to never forgive you how good of a frend was he really. You cannot expect that your exgirlfriend will sit there and go boo hoo for the rest of her days. If you are stupid enough to breakup with some one you really have no right to get pissed off if they date your frends.

Plus what if he wants to talk shit about he to feel better, that would put him in a diffacult place, I would always give it enough time and ask him what he thinks about it first, chances are that if he is over her he won't mind you dating her. But even after a few months you can't be sure that he is completely over her... I would approch the situation carefully.
