A panhandler.
So are you unemployed now, or are you saying that you would like to be if you were not a programmer?
We actually have professional bums in Akron. They have registration numbers & from what I hear they have to claim their "earnings" as some sort of input & pay taxes on it. So if they don't have a pan-handler's license, they can get arrested. *shrug* I suppose.

That is a little stereotypical don't you think? I know many professional writers. myself included, who have no problems with alcohol. That is not meant as a dis though. I just found it a little insulting to my chosen profession.

I'm in the process of working on a cook book, and have about 20 recipes in it already.

Scratch that. I'm writing a book, so I must already be an author.

I do enjoy translating fiction - if there were any money in it, I'd like to get paid for it, but as far as I can tell, there isn't, so I just do it for fun.
I can tell you that being a professional musician is not nearly as much fun as you'd think it would be, overall, although the fun parts are a lot of fun. Working in a bank is about as boring as you'd expect. Running a coffee shop is great fun, if you pick the right coffee shop, and the right time and the right city. Portland, Oregon, in the late 90s was a great place to be broke and in the center of a lot of neat people. Running a record label is a lot more work than you'd think, and you have to listen to a lot of music that you don't really want to listen to. And insurance is just hell.

that would have been 10 times better if you had revived this thread
it also would have made you a total asshole for necroposting in a thread just for that
