Display an Image or a Video on web-site

Posted 17 September 2008 - 01:27 AM

Hello everybody,

Iím starting to learn to develop in HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL and then Iím trying to make a little web-site of recipes. I want to develop a function to add a new recipe in witch I can, when I want to display it, download an image or a video of it but I donít know how to proceed, with which tools.

Could someone help me to resolve this problem?

Thank you!

Bye Bye!

Images are something like <img src="" /> etc. You have to study the HTML . There you go a complete HTML guide http://w3schools.com/html/default.asp .

If you're just learning you may want to check out tizag.com, it's a great beginners guide covering html, javascript, php, css, and mysql among others. Make sure you download the MySQL GUI Tools if you don't already have them.

For your images I would have your upload script save the image with the recipe id as the filename and save the path to that image in the recipe table. Then you can simply have your php script lookup the appropriate path for the current recipe and plug into your <img> tag when it's serving the page.
